Designed for gathering and lingering, this waterfront home embraces the art of effortless living.
There's something special about returning to a home you've helped shape over the years. Having worked with these clients on previous renovations, we were thrilled to be invited back to refresh two of the home's most-loved spaces: the sitting room and three-season sunroom.
The goal was to create spaces that felt elevated yet effortless—rooms that invite you to slow down, settle in, and enjoy the beautiful waterfront setting just beyond the windows. Rather than focusing on a single room, we considered how each space would connect to the next, creating a natural flow between the sitting room, dining room, and sunroom. The result is a home that feels cohesive, welcoming, and perfectly suited for both everyday living and entertaining.
In the sitting room, layered textures and a rich palette of warm browns, rust tones, soft neutrals, and mixed brass finishes create depth and visual interest without feeling overly formal. Comfortable, conversation-friendly furnishings encourage gathering, while carefully placed accents draw your eye throughout the space and toward the water views beyond.
Just beyond, the three-season sunroom offers a more relaxed expression of the home's style. Filled with natural light, greenery, and comfortable furnishings, it serves as an extension of the living space—a place to enjoy morning coffee, afternoon reading sessions, or an evening glass of wine with friends.
Together, these spaces reflect what we love most about great design: homes that feel connected, lived in, and designed around the way people truly gather and spend time together.
