Modern Basement Reno

Our clients always wanted a space for their kids to be able to hang out in and where they could have family movie and game nights.

Their basement was kind of a forgotten space in their home, holding some seasonal sports gear and boxes. We really wanted this space to feel like a seamless continuation of their home and not an obvious “new” space in our clients home. Luckily for us, this family has been a long time client and customer of ours in the shop so it was very easy for us to jump right int and make this space feel like it was always there.

We designed a custom banquette with a gorgeous black stained oak table that played off the coffee table that was a low round solid wood table with statement legs. We also added this insanely comfy shag rug to turn up the coziness of the space. To further add texture and dimension in the space, we added a stunning slatted oak wall behind the TV that really gives the room a nice modern nod. To round it out, the sofa is a sleeper sofa to give the space a dual purpose for when our clients needed an extra bed for guests.
