What started as a single-room design project naturally evolved into a two-room transformation, creating a connected pair of spaces that bring a little more function and personality to everyday life. The first room is a moody home bar designed for everything from casual family game nights to settling in for a midweek cocktail. Bold wallpaper, dark wood tones, aged brass, plush rugs, velvet seating, and layered textures give the space a rich, collected feel without feeling overly formal.

The adjoining office and sitting room was designed to be just as flexible. During the work week, it offers a change of scenery from the desk, while the comfortable seating makes it an easy overflow space when entertaining or hosting dinner. Custom built-ins by HDC Millwork provide much-needed storage while adding architectural character, including integrated wood handles we designed specifically for the office cabinetry. The small details—thoughtful millwork, mixed materials, and unexpected texture—are what give the room its custom feel.

Together, the two spaces feel distinct but connected, creating rooms that can shift easily from everyday life to entertaining and everything in between.
